Curtis and I went all the way back to junior high, as we were always seated alphabetically. We remained friends all through our time at Kennedy. My younger sister graduated college in 1979 and took her first job in Houston Texas. While there, she ran into Curtis as he was dating one of her friends. He worked for one of the railroads as an insurance claims adjuster. My sister said he passed away in 1982-83.
I checked Ancestry.com and came across Curtis Christopher Buck, who was born 29 Sep 1955 in Sacramento County, California (mother's maiden name was McGuire). He passed away 19 May 1987 in Dallas County, Texas. A news article in the Tyler-Courier Times indicates he died in a solo car crash on I-45 when his car spun out of control and was struck by a tractor trailer truck. He was from Mequite, Texas, at the time of his death. There is also a possible marriage record for him and Joan Rosel in Harris County, Texas, dated 5 Feb 1983.
